Okay I swear this will be my last rant post before the next episode airs but I have to get it off my chest cause I keep seeing the argument made that people disappointed Din gave the darksaber away are forgetting the lack of plot in the previous seasons, which I very heavily disagree.
no because the implication that when din and grogu left tatooine din immediately was like "hey grogu, look at what the ship can do" because he knows his son LOVES going fast is making me ill. those ridiculously powerful sublight thrusters are JUST to entertain the baby. AND THE FACT THAT DIN MOST DEFINITELY HAD ALREADY DONE IT AT LEAST THREE TIMES BECAUSE GROGU WAS BEING SO ANNOYING FOR HIM TO DO IT AGAIN. DIN IS SUCH A PUSHOVER LMAO HIS SON ANNOYS HIM FOR LESS THAN A MINUTE TO MAKE HIM GO ZOOM AND HE'S LIKE "fine we'll go again" even though he absolutely said it would be the last one each time he did it
now i’m not din djarin, but if i WAS din djarin, and i used sacred beskar to make a gift for my foundling, something i considered it fundamentally his right to have, and i entrusted it to my foundling’s current caretakers to give to him because i trusted their judgement enough to not visit him myself, and they withheld it from him unless he gave up his jedi identity, effectively using my gift, this sacred gift, to emotionally blackmail my baby into choosing between us, i would fucking kill them. but that’s just me personally
